Due to the close affiliation of SIU Travel with the educational institution, Schiller International University, we have a natural ability for organizing successful professional programs in the area of experiential education.

For many years we have conducted successful experiential education and training seminars and workshops in the outdoor centre of the Château de Pourtalès, together with youth welfare organizations from Baden-Württemberg. Additionally we work with innovative and successful companies, who are able to benefit from the advantages of a "green classroom" in order to offer outdoor education seminars for their employees.

With our outdoor education programs we offer you, in the time of computers, cars and new technologies, the chance to breathe in the fresh air of nature, collectively set up your camp for the night and prepare your dinner on your own campfire, while mostly importantly having fun.

We make your dreams a reality with our qualified specialist who will convey their expertise and knowledge for a successful outdoor experience.

Leadership Program

The achievement of common goals (e.g. group members attaining the pre-stated aims of a specific program) requires from every participant effective leadership qualities, which if not displayed during the outdoor activities can lead to negative results.

Is the group successful, which agrees on a common path to the next program station point or the group which is held back in a endless discussion? Who organizes and delegates the structure of the camp? Does everyone take care of themselves or will also the (currently) weak members of the group become integrated and protected?

Outdoor leadership means coping with "real" situations and receiving direct feedback. In doing so many of the acquired leadership skills are transferable to every-day life.

Education Program

Leave the security and assurance of civilization and immerse yourself in the world of nature with us. Recognize your own limits with an orienteering session in the woods with only a map and compass or experience security and trust with teamwork activities, e.g. abseiling from rocks. Learn the noises of the animals under opens skies and enjoy your own cooked food from the campfire.

The length of our Outdoor Education and Leadership programs vary in the region from 2 or more days. It is also possible to build individual "taster" components into the programs.
